Community Feedback



Mid way through the school year, I sent out a survey to parents asking for feedback on our classroom blogs. The purpose of the survey was to find out how parents felt about the communication and to let teachers see the impact of the change.  Some of the results follow:

86% of respondents indicated that they were signed up to follow their classroom blogs and were receiving regular updates.

In response to the question, "What kinds of information have you found on the blog that has been useful or valuable to you? For example: signups, field trip info, pictures, updates, etc.." the first 35 responses are shown below.

You can see that the responses are overwhelmingly positive.

In response to the question, "What would you like to see more of on your classroom blog?" the first 35 responses are shown below:

  • More academic info.
  • Updates on things they are doing in class
  • A monthly summary of the focus for the month by each subject.

Again, you can see the responses are positive and constructive.  When the teachers were asked to create their blogs, there weren't any specific requirements about what they would post, thus there are a variety of responses.
